Artist description
Born and raised in a small port city on the scenic California coast, Barbara has made quite a name for herself in the world of country music. A devoted fan of traditional country with a hint of "blue-eyed" soul, she is truly in her element whether the audience numbers 50,or 5,000.
Now a resident of Tennessee, she is an active participant in the Nashville songwriting community and has earned the respect of distinguished hit songwriters who frequently invite her to join them "in-the-round" to showcase her songs.
From the intimate listening environment of a writer's round to "rockin the house" on the Nashville club circuit, Barbara sings with her whole heart, captivating audiences with her energy and absolute love of performing. "I would rather be on stage performing than be anywhere else on earth, and I am very passionate about the songs that I write and sing. If it's not country, it's not me."
Member BMI, the Nashville Songwriter's Association Int'l (NSAI) and the Americana Music Association. |

Press Reviews
Country Corner Magazine "My Heart's With You" contains 8 cuts of the sweetest sounding West Coast Country Swing you'll ever want to hear. I am amazed by "You Can't Take It With You" which is a self-penned song from Barbara. She also wrote Long Slow Love. These two songs are radio hits in the makin'. This superstar lady has a voice just a country singer could appreciate. The sound is as traditional as the swing music is smooth. I sure hope we'll be hearing a lot more from this wonderful sounding gal!"

Lloyd Morris, review posted by CD customer on CDBaby site - "Leaves you Wishing for More! I bought this album just on a chance. It turned out to be some of the best money I ever spent on music!! No matter how many times I listen to this cd, I can't find anything I don't like about it, except it has an end. Ms. Morrison's voice is a supreme delight and she has put down some great sounds on this album!! Barbara wrote or co-wrote 4 of the 8 tracks, thereby earning an even greater degree of respect as a proven singer/songwriter!!! Whether you prefer traditional or modern country music, here's an album you'll love". |
