Artist History
Polar was locally famous in the Midsouth area for years, calling CLub 616 in Memphis his home for beer and cheers. His exodus from Pixel Chunk caused quite a stir in Memphis, making many think his unique approach to the dance/rock scene had vanished. Fans and haters take heed, while Pixel chunk may be defunct, Space Pickle is nothing but funk. Polar spent his down time playing around with DJ Mehta and the combination was instant magic. Mehta's history of Rock and Roll Remixes were gaining attention about the time Pixel Chunk fell by the wayside. While Mehta's fans remeber him for having the bollocks to take on Polar, Live and Side BY Side (as the famous live bootleg can attest) Mehta hopes his fans will now embrace Polar as he has. Mehta promises to keep you swerving while he keeps his friends close and his enemies closer. |

Press Reviews
Spins by-Polar - The most significant album in the Polar backcatalogue, this disc pretty much sums up all of Polar's musical directions at once, everything from ambient techno to alternative rock. The angelic blast of 'Come and dance now' is the highlight here, whilst 'smokin'is an excellent example of Polar's quieter side, and 'Touch me' sums up his rockier face. |
