    Artist History
The band currently known as Insidious bagan in the winter months of 1999. At the time the band had all the current members plus Tobias Major as a third guitarist. The band started off with a classic metal sound but the band never went anywhere. All of the members were fairly new musicians and the songs were not that strong. After cutting down the third guitar and spending some time writing better songs the band, with its current lineup, began a serious project in early 2001 that resulted in a two song demo containing the songs Where Winds Come From and Prophets of Doom. At the time the band was known as Night Eternal. In the fall months of 2001 the members of the band didnt have much time to play and didnt get much practice. The band reformed in early 2002 as a much stronger melodic death metal act. The band was focused on a particualr band style and sound in the style of melodic death metal with some older thrash influences. On May 5,2002 Insidious played their first gig at the Living Room in Providence, Rhode Island with CT death metal band DECIMATION and black metal act SORCERY. The band played rather well and got a pretty good reaction. Insidious' second gig was at the Living Room once again on July 5, 2002 with some hardcore bands. The show sucked cuz the stage monitors were broken. The band has been practicing each week and currently has about 6-7 songs completely finished. The band recorded a three song basement tape on August 19, 2002.
