Artist History Hollywood Refugees started in Clearwater Florida in 1999, under the name Misfit Youth. After many changes through the band(members comming and going)the two remaining members, Jake Chaos, and Johnny Volatile, headed to Portland Oregon to start anew. Once established, Jake and Johnny started the now defunct Volatiles. As time passed, it became apparent that Portland was not the best place to start a band. The two, at seperate times, packed up shop, and headed to Hollywood.
