Artist History From the desolate zones of Houston, Texas USA, emerged Adumus. The band started in May of 1999 by drummer BlackVomit who played in the band Imprecation (Repulse Records) and also was part of the band Dark Reign in the early 90’s. BlackVomit recruited LordMaster (guitar) to form a project, LordMaster, was the lead guitarist in recent bands such as Mortify, Retribution and Crucifixion (Mausoleum Records). Next to join the group was vocalist Cerberus. It did not take him long to join Adumus since the band he was with, showed very little motivation. Albert , who was the former keyboard player for Imprecation (Repulse Records), joined the band. October of 1999, marked a good beginning for the band, with the recording of their first demo called “Infinite Battles for Immortality” with songs like: 1.-Realms Of Horrid Madness 2.-Dark Existences 3.-Infinite Battles For Immortality 4.-The Invoking, Meltin'Moon, former guitar player for Retribution and Mortify joined Adumus in the beginning of 2000 as bass player. Albert in late May 2000 decided to leave the band for personal problems, he was quickly replaced by Priest in June. Thereafter, Charon, former bass player of Cremator and other band projects joined Adumus, Meltin'Moon changed is now handling the guitar. In September 30 of 2000, Adumus finished the recording sessions of their second demo called “Besieging Abominations”, released in November. The demo contains five songs: 1.-Heretic Retribution 2.-Besieging Abominations 3.-Empress Of The Black Oracles 4.-Onward Through Darkened Voids 5.-Blood Conquest. Adumus has performed shows in Texas and Mexico alongside bands like Krisiun(Bra), Angel Corpse(US RIP), Vader(Pol), Origin(US), Amon Amarth(Swe), Decapitated(Pol), Incantation(US), Of the Fallen(TX), Kathonik(TX), Funeral Rites(TX), Infernal Dominion(TX), Belzabet(Mex), Nemontemi(TX), Dreadmoon(TX), Primeval(TX), Condemned(TX) and others. The band has also done interviews with fanzines and some compilations in Europe and America, having a decent response. Stay tuned to Adumus, the best is yet to come...
