Artist History To speak about Milk Fiction is to go back to 1996, when with shyness and still very distant to be able to affirm that a hardcore-punk scene existed in Tenerife (Canary Islands, spain), a new rebirth of bands, fanzines, labels... is breathed, that it picked up the witness of an old and very stumped hardcore-punk movement that, at the end of the 80's and the first years of the 90's made tremble the streets, the society and the Canarian stages. Milk Fiction first three years, can be summarized in two "demos" and abundant changes of formation, and therefore and unquestionably, changes in his sound. The band was born influenced by the main bands of what we know as "old school", practicing hardcore very in the way of the '88 youth crew, being captured this sound in the first two "demos", being generalized these, lyrically speaking, for the political, social and personal content of its texts. Overcoming the formation changes and after multiple appearances in the Spanish stages, MILK FICTION arrives to the present time after an important period of evolution in all the senses, going away of its initial sound and opening the way to a crossroad of musical influences, feelings, techniques, ideas... A reality where the intensity, the forcefulness, the details, the melody... together to some texts that could be defined as a total declaration of principles conform the result of the work, the illusion, the perseverance of a band in a growing and consistent scene that stays in their purest state, where the friendship, the respect and the idea of the hardcore-punk movement like a weapon of fight it continues being their palpable reality.
