Artist description
Lou Renshaw is an accomplished musician, songwriter and vocalist. When performing live in concert venues , he is usually found with fellow accomplished musicians. While performing as a solist, along with his guitar and vocals, he is accompanied with state of the art back-ground music comprised of a professional set-up of computor midi files, which provide a full rich musical sound both pleasing for listening and can be sizzling and driving enough to get one up dancing. Lou's performance is only made better with his warm and sincere personality. |

Artist History
Lou at the age of 12 began performing in front of live audiences at church functions, and formed his first band: "The Dortells" at the age of 14. He went on to perform at numerous functions including highschool proms, weddings, concerts, festivals, social affairs and lounges. He also appeared with many other bands as lead vocalist and guitarist along the South Jersey and Philadelphia region during the late 60's and early 70's. Lou is one of 5 brothers and for a short time in the late 60's played with the "Visionary Sounds" a grouped formed by Lou and 3 of his brothers. While studying Medicine in Cincinnati, Lou performed in the Greater Cincinnati area and Northern Kentucky region as a solist with a unique captivating sound and quickly developed a respectable following. While practicing as a Surgical Physician Assistant in the Greater Hartford area he performed again as a soloist and once again developed a large following in the club circuit. It was during this time that he signed with his first record label and released his first single, "Free as a Bird". Through the years that followed he has continued to win the hearts of his fans and earn the respect from fellow musicians. Lou was part of K & K Records Recording Artist, "White Rose" a duo featuring Lou with a very dear friend, Ken Shreve. In December of 1996, "White Rose" had the Nationally Released song, "The Christmas Wish". This song can still be heard on the radio airwaves every Christmas holiday. Lou now resides in the West Central Florida Region and while always having been involved in music; he is now devoting full-time to music after giving 30 years of service to the medical profession. |
