Artist History The Norads, better known as the rockinest, rollinest, most kick-ass pop-punk band ever to roam the earth, started their illustrious career in the fall of 2001. It all started when guitarist, Timmy B., met bassist, Arvy B. Delighted that they shared the same last initial, they decided to start a ska band. Their pursuit for other cool kids to be in their ska club was a long and relentless journey, until they gave up. The Norads, still only two members, realized that they could neither write ska music nor find cool ska kids to play horns in their band. So, the two sat down and cried. At that moment, Arvy Booger-Head said to Timmy Boner-Face, "Don't fret! We can start a punk and/or emo band!" However, both Timmy Bar-B-Q and Arvy Bar Mitzvah were way too immature to ever be in an emo band, so their emo sound never really got the chance to develop and blossom into the beautiful, young woman it could have been. Instead, totally radical hair-metal bands such as Quiet Riot and Twisted Sister were the influences that led The Norads to Top 40 Gold. But little Timmy and Arvy's hopes were still going unfulfilled, because they knew they could not unlock their full potential without a totally awesome, radical, and sweet drummer. That was all until the magical day that will forever be known as "The Most Magical of All Days" to Norads fans from all walks of life, and all regions of the neighborhood. Others simply call it Thursday. Nevertheless it was the day that Mark (A.K.A. Turd) rocked the socks clean off of Timmy and Arvy B with has fantastic drumming abilities. (Honest to goodness; not one, not two, but all three of their socks were rocked clean off of their feet!) And as if that day wasn't special enough, the three had pizza for dinner. SCORE!!! Mark was once part of a now defunct Fantasy Hockey League/Rock'n'Roll Band, but decided to come to The Norads for Arvy B's famous homemade rhubarb preserves. And as they say, the rest is history.
