Artist History
THE DRIVE HOME, originally DRAIN26, came together in the early part of 1999. After recording a demo CD and distributing it for quite some time, they made the move from the Montery Bay Area to northern California's Rohnert Park.
After settling in for a few months, they decided to add Jason Petersen on the drums and shortly after they lost guitarist Chris DiSalvo. After playing as a three piece for a year or so they met guitarist Andrew Smith. Once Andrew joined, they were finally complete.
"Letters From Distant Places", their debut album, was released in August of 2002 after collatorating with PopSmear Records earlier that year.

Press Reviews
"Hard, fast, bouncy rhythm guitar that doesn't
just play three chords run up against Emo-y-arpeggios
and belted but heartfelt vocals about love lost,
regret, and perseverence through it all.
They occupy a zone between Alkaline Trio,
Green Day, and Jets to Brazil, while managing to
actually have their very own sound. With super
high-energy, taut, and give-it-all live shows,
and a brand new album out called Letters from Distant Places,
you will likely be hearing a lot about them." - SectionM Magazine |
