    Artist description
A group of unlikely musicians whos musical backgrounds would suposedly collide with one another and burn to a crisp, have collectively built a tall tower of variety (that has very little chance of calapsing). With only a few basic influences shared (though they are strong), Each member of Slight of Mind has a world of character to add to the group. To take one out would be to strip the tower down to rubble. A rare combination of Alternative Rock, Be-bop, Jazz/Rock Fusion, Punk, Rock n' Roll, Hip-hop and ska is demonstrated here and only here. To know slight of mind is to experience slight of mind. Please Listen.

    Artist History
Slight Of Mind is the culmination of some of Western Massachusetts' finest rock musicians. Early 2002, having seen each other perform in other groups and seeing potential in each other (however LITTLE in the other band members they were working with), Justin, Paul and Randy set out to form a group. Justin on drums, Paul on guitar/vocals, and Randy on guitar, they were going to combine Hip-hop, punk and Alt. Rock. This combination was to be called: Out of Order. They saw this going somewhere, but they knew something was lacking if they were to take it all the way. When justin started rapping while he was playing drums, the idea crossed his mind that it would be an interesting experience to be soully a vocalist. They both knew a drummer from school, Riley. They'd been talking to him for a long time, and seen him playing with other groups (that also didn't tend to be organized enough to do anything), and saw potential there. So Justin asked Riley to join the group, and on March 16 2002 he showed up to practice. They didn't have a bassist at this time. A guitarist of many years came with Paul to practice that day just to chill. Since there was no basist, but Justin owned a bass in his house, Jeff decided he would attempt to sit in for the day. It was perfect. Out of Order was falling into place. That day, in a matter of a few hours, "You Said", a perfect representation of true collaberation was completed. Riley and Jeff had been playing together in an award-winning Jazz Combo at their school for quite some time and also in Western District twice, so this was brought to the sound. Justin was hip-hop/punk influenced, Paul was Alt. Rock influenced, and Randy brought further punk to the band. This later was called Slight of Mind. As a band, across the 27th and 28th of July 2002, recorded a 5-song demo and Slaughterhouse recording studios. Two of these songs are presented to you here.
