Artist History
Chris Blizzard started singing in the "Angel Choir" in church at the age of 4. Now in the year 2002, Chris is celebrating his 4th year as an entertainer. In 1998 Chris won the BET International Jazz Vocal Competition and performed on BET cable's Jazz Central Show. Since then he has performed venues all over the country. He has performed for Celebrities like Oprah Winfrey, Maya Angelou, and Quincy Jones, as well as political figures like Coretta Scott King and Andrew Young. In 2000 Chris released his first Solo CD "Moonlight and Roses." A collection of songs he co-wrote with Lorna Bright. The songs were originally penned for an animated feature concept, and ultimately became a vehicle for showcasing Chris' writing and producing talent. The songs from "Moonlight and Roses have since been incorporated into the Musical "Reunion" which begins production this Fall (2002) in Toronto, Canada. Chris is currently hard at work on two new music projects. A Jazz CD tentatively titled "Half and Half," and a Holiday Music CD (both slated for Fall Release).. |
