Press Reviews
A lot of people who know me (yes, I do have friends ;-) may think I just love every band I see. That's not true; what is true is that there are just loads of special bands out there deserving to be mentioned, against other people's reactions. This has happened with groups such as Empathy and Methadrone and now these bands are doing more and more and more gigs ;-) Next to do so are likely to be The White Room.
And what makes this band so special? It's their completely schizophrenic sound, going from hard/metalcore riffs into bassy calm-before-the-storm verses then into PUNK peaks (and this can all be in the first 30 secongds of their first song!). Every song is different, no single song can be catergorsied, let alone this band in general, except that they are punk the way its meant to be: honest and different.
The only certainty about this band is that the singer/guitarist's voice is heavily influenced by Robb Flynn (of MachineHead), something he shamelessly reveals with his burning eyes chest-tattoo from MH. Back to the sound, one song they have is called "Bullshit Overload", which goes through a minute of slow mellow instrumental chordplay into a minute of speed and thrash and shouting before mellowing again! That's them summarized in one song. None more schizo. Not many more special ;-)
