Artist History
Born and raised in Syracuse, NY, T.J. Sacco did not know where his life would lead him, but he knew where he would eventually end up on top.
The only remaining question to be answered was, on top of what? In the mid 1990's a dare was offered that would, in effect, set a new
and exciting course for his life.
One evening over drinks a friend offered up a challenge of incredible difficulty. In six months from that cold November day he would
have to perform an acoustic
country performance at a local downtown Syracuse pub. Not being one to turn down the unthinkable, T.J took the dare. After having
to learn not only to play
guitar in such an unreasonable span if time but to hone his natural vocal ability for this special debut, which just happened to be his
birthday on May 30th. He
performed at Daley's Pub in the heart of Syracuse night life friends , local patrons, and a family filled audience were met with
amazement as he belted out his
first song and continued astounding them with his strong natural vocal ability throughout the evening. Destined for stardom no doubt,
T.J. filled the coming years
with musical research, practice and patience until he was ready to return to the stage and launch his career in music.
Steadily giging and breaking the 'rules', in a town where a country musician had never been allowed to grace the stages and was not
widely accepted, his writing and
skill to move the soul empowered him to be invited back often. Perhaps it was the way that T.J. was able to combine traditional
country with a twist of rock that would
lead to instant approval from the fans and a heightened interest from the country world that enabled his early successes.
Having had refined his talents and rounding up a talented group of musicians that shared his visions T.J. was offered an opportunity
to perform at 'The New York
State Fair'. That being such a success he was invited back not only for another performance once again but to do additional
performances at other area venues.
Wanting to please his inquiring fans and to create a gift for his parents anniversary he compiled his first CD, ' This Is Me' to much
acclaim and notice.
It was now time for T.J. to take his next step in his plan that would ensure that his music would be heard. So he picked up his
boot-straps and hauled on down to the
'Mecca' of music, Music City USA, Nashville, TN in March of 2002.
T.J. performs and can now be seen and heard on a regular basis at several of the top performing venues in Nashville. He still
continues to be loyal to where he
began and he performs in the Syracuse, NY area throughout the year.
T.J is currently in the studio recording his follow up EP as has been the demand by his fans. =Please email for inquiries=
T.J. looks forward to a long career and hopes to soon be able to reach a larger audience in the coming years. |
