    Artist description
The Lead Hour combines the softer elements of the violin to create the indie, emotional feel there music has. But make no mistake there music is compact with energy. Shouting out ballads influenced by what they know best, their own lives. Calling the lead hour emotional is not labeling them in a genra like many bands now a days, its a statement on their music. EMo has meaning with the lead hour.

The Lead Hour Location - Franklin/Mansfield, MA Overall - 9.8/10 Lost Points - Recording. Intro: Who ever thought a volin would have a place in a punk type band. Along with bands such as Yellowcard, The Lead Hour Defies this odd and rocks the house. Review: When The Lead Hour Guitarist Mike Newk told me he just joined a new band, i was excited. After hearing him play in The Good Fight, i was dying to hear more. I received a rough demo track with no vocals, and i was impressed, some how TLH mixes A violin, punk, hard rock, emo and funk all in one. Its Unexplainable. I admit that when i first heard TLH's Singer Tom's voice, i was kind of skeptical, he had a unusual voice, but with by 1:20 minutes in to the song i was hooked on his voice. My Favorite song would have to be Sole Unsuvivor, out of the 2 i've heard(recover and sole unsuvivor), its the best, with powerful lyrics like, "you can always hold them before they fade, but your embrace will never bring them back", sole unsuvivor is a favorite. Also TLH has a girl that plays violin, and sings, she is amazing in my mind, she's got an amazing voice, which i wish i could hear more of. The Lead Hour is in my mind, one of Massachusetts Best Up coming bands, get a few more months under their belt, and they'll be set to take off.. Sounds Like: Yellowcard with a touch of STD. Final: With an ep out now, you should expect more stuff from this awesome band. Reviewed by: Rob Duval @punkstar.org
