Artist History
The Bad Apples formed in the spring of 1999 in sunny San Diego CA. with Tim Hines and Dante Conti, two prolific songwriters with a love for the mid sixties, mod, garage and northern soul explosion.Together they began to harness the energy of those bands with a modern twist, and a handfull of 2 minute catchy garage-pop numbers. Some would describe the music as "Scott Walker and The Kinks having a tea party in a dirty alley with The Beatles and The Ramones." Thats heavy! For all intents and purposes, they added bass player Bill Fuson and Drummer Michael Swart to form The Bad Apples. Having just finished their debut self-titled CD, without even barely having time to promote it, are already in the studio working on a new one. The Bad Apples are would-be chamelions, moving from one musical style to the next. Like something you would get in David Bowie or The Beatles. There is never a dull moment in the music of the Bad Apples, and they will no doubt be the "Now-Sound" in the 21st century-short attention spanned- new generation... |
