Musical Influences
From person to person, we listen to an obsessive-compusively wide range of music too large in volume to mention, but as a whole our influences are united by our Long Island upbringings and exposure to its various musical scenes... and for some reason Papa Lum is still "fooled by the rocks that I've got" even though that song hasn't been big in quite some time. |

Artist History
HOBAN has been haunting the garages, basements, and stages of Long Island sporadically since 2001. United by a common love of music and by having nothing else better to do, the band has moved forward through the past few years releasing the DIY demo "You're killing me, Smalls" (which makes a great coaster too!), playing shows on Long Island and in NYC, and securing airplay on college radio -- despite the hinderance of being active a mere four months at a time. Now a touring band, HOBAN plans on playing the Northeast while recording a new CD this summer. Visit the HOBAN website for more information. |
