Musical Influences My Grandfather and John Denver

Artist History Stephen bought his first guitar at age 19, it was a steel string with stiff action, certainly not worth the $50 price in hind-sight. He gave it away to someone else. His real first guitar was a nylon string (acquired at the same time as his baritone ukelele which he still has). He is completely self-taught. Stephen was in band in high school but played snare drum. He can plunk out a song pretty well on a piano, especially in light of the fact that he never received any piano instruction (like all his sisters did, but he's not bitter ;-) )
