Press Reviews
Maximum Rocknroll, October 2002, Marion lp. Marion mixes up influences and styles as often as they change tempos, which is often. DC would be a good starting point for their sound, but they are able to play tougher than implies. Vocally there's a lot of bottom of the throat screaming/singing mix, and plenty of backups. review by Erin Yanke.
Punk Planet, March 2001, Marion/Ladderback split, This is a really solid, split release between two bands playing different styles of hardcore. Marion plays up the emo tip a little more than Ladderback with semi-pretty spastic guitar breakdowns followed by fast, blasting attacks of screaming/singing. They remind me a little like Maximillian Colby. |
