Artist History
Icenine formed in full is it is now in spring of 2000 when Paul Klopping and Leedah Wong joined the band. Previously, Thomas Hsu and Nick Arora had been playing in Nick's garage for approximately 2 years, and Sean Vora had been playing with them for a year and a half prior to the completion of the band. They played at Mission San Jose High School three times: once for a charity fashion show (their debut), once for the talent show, and again for a lunch activity. In March of 2001 the band recorded in Leedah's church, but found the mixing to be of decently poor quality. The band has not played together since January 2002 when Sean Vora tried to re-record their cd, and had not played together since june 2001 of their Senior year prior to that. During the summer of 2002, after their first year of college, Sean decided that he had the means to re-reccord their CD better, so he learned all the instrument parts to all five songs (with the exception of the solo in Crutch) and recorded them all. With the help of Nick Arora coming over to his room to record drums, and Paul Klopping coming over to record vocals, as well as Thomas coming over to record his solo, and with about 100+ hours that Sean spent mixing their songs, Icenine now has a CD. |
