Artist History
Let me break it down:
Angel Montes, Lead vocals for Better Off Dead a New Jersey native raised in the suburbs of Miami, Fl. Influenced by bands such as ALL and The Decendents, started out as lead singer/guitar player for The Colas which consisted off garage punk riffs followed by various catchy vocals. In the summer of 95' Cesar A.K.A El Taco, Drums, joined Angel in forming Trailor Park Tommy, based out of former guitarist Ashley's trailor Bowl Breaking Erik on Bass. In 98' T.P.T. broke up and aquired bass player Pedro Ferra, with his arrival also came an arsenal of thumping bass lines and vicious background vocals. By the summer of 00' B.O.D. had established themselves as one of South Florida elite Punk/Ska bands. After their first release on Fuko Productions, Flat Broke, which included crowd favorite Dirty Dave sold out after a couple shows, B.O.D. set themselves for bigger and better things. Unfortunetly with the good comes the bad and in the spring of 01' Better Off Dead had to part ways with guitarist Ashley and aquired Joey Gallo former guitarist for W.A.S. Also influenced heavily by The Decendents, he brought his own style which broadend the bands sound while maintaining the same power and impact. Better Off Dead started recording their full length "From the Bottom Coming Up", being released independently. They have also joined in on a couple of Comps. due out this spring and later this year.
