Artist History
Art can arise out of many feelings and situations. Love, anger, and sometimes boredom. When 17 year old Adam Nicholls started fooling around with music-making software on his computer out of boredom, Wheelchair Getaway Driver was born.
It started early in the summer of 2002, when Adam began piecing together loops and samples to make entire songs. His first batch of recordings were 5 songs that he made to explore his musical boundaries. He fooled around with different concepts and ideas he had. These 5 songs that arised were entitled, "The Hara Demos".
When Adam decided on the sound and direction he wanted to take his music to, he began to make song after song from his library of samples. What resulted was "Mirrored Image" an 8-song internet EP to be released on August 27th, 2002. Each song has its own personality of its own. "Mirrored Image" is ambient music that is catchy yet somewhat hard to digest, simple yet experimental, refreshing yet slightly repetitive.
Adam's music continues to evolve. Lately he has been working on his own beats and synths with his drum machine and synthesizer. He hopes in the future to use his homemade rhythms and his samples to create brand new works of art. |
