Artist description In-house producer's, Jah Lion 808, pre-recorded sequences and beats ingeniously commingles hip hop, rap, Middle Eastern minor chords, electronika, reggae, funk and Tejano into a suave-style exotic sound (aka astro funk). Spoken word mantras are performed by bohemian H-town poet Lovesun and CI's published epicurean poet laureate Kool B. Sassy gypsy-girl, Diva Karina, translates hip-hop librettos into a tropical expedition reminiscent of the Caribbean and Latin America. Perpendicular to the vertical vocals by Dizzy fuel the generous beats, while subservient LPs obey C-Double's agile, but by no means fragile, grip on spins and scratches.
