A19 has a long list of musical influences however; we feel we do not sound like any other band. We strive to be orignal. We are Article Nineteen, not a duplicate or a reflection of another band. |

Artist History
Formed in May 2002 with the addition of Marcio Novelli to the already existant Rich Cloke, Mike Rowell and Jon Kennedy trio. This made up the beginnings of Article Nineteen. After a few months of writing, the band began to record their first EP in October with the help of Kirk Harber offering to record and mix the songs. At this point, creative differences between Jon and the rest of the band were noticed. Also, personal conflicts between Marcio and Jon were evident. In December, Jon was replaced with Steve Skrtich on drums. At this point, the band's work on their EP had turned into a full length independent CD project with Marcio now mixing the songs and recording vocals, bass and some guitar parts. Building their fan base by releasing demo versions of their songs on to the internet and playing shows was their next step while still working on their CD. They continue to play shows fairly regularly and their CD should be ready for sale in a short while. |
