Artist History Dust started in 1999 when Micah and Timothy began writing songs together. Lana Enfield joined on piano soon after. We played one song at X-pressos Guest Night in Goodland with Micah on guitar and vocals, Timothy on bass and vocals, and Lana on piano. We recorded a demo with Josh on drums in the summer of 2000, then Micah and Lana left for college. Micah came back for the summer of 2001 and Dust had it's first "concert." Micah was again on guitar and vocals. Timothy played bass, guitar, and keyboard on different songs and did vocals. Josh was on drums and his sister Joslin filled in on bass, guitar, and vocals. Dust took a break for the 2001/2002 school year while Micah was at college. Micah and Timothy recorded some acoustic and techno tracks over Micah's spring break. In the Summer of 2002 Caleb Acton joined the band on guitar and the band changed it's name to Third String. Micah, Timothy, Caleb, and Josh recorded Third String's first CD "This is not the end" at the end of the summer after playing a song at the Jared Hall Benefit concert at the Goodland fair. Third String recorded another EP "Comeback" in early 2003 and performed again at X-pressos Guest Night 2003 with Ian Scherling added on vocals.
