Artist History
Formed in October 2001, the day Jacob smiled is a progressive, energetic trio that relies on melody and diverse arrangements to create unique and memorable songs. In drawing from their influences in early pop, jazz and rock, Greg Kasabian, Jason Bonarrigo and Steve Confalone have created a listening experience that is both engaging and unexpected.
From songs like borne, where slow, grooved bass lines suspend above shifting guitar rhythms -- to bring and rain, dramatic, sweeping anthems that explode with sonic percussion -- and even the pop-sensible rock standard, born a grave, with its vocal presence and hook-laden riffs, the day Jacob smiled provides an array of music that will stimulate the mind. |
