Artist description
Jes Perry's lush contemporary pop/rock takes
it's cues from the singer/songwriter rock that
spanned the 60's, 70's and 80's.
Her self-taught guitar style makes for daring
chord and song structures and on top of
everything is a voice that is both strong
enough to fill a smokey rock club or soothing
like a singer’s in a café. Jes’ voice is
always pure, commercially accessible,
and the seed of her growing presence
as an artist. |

Artist History
Jes Perry began singing at age 3.
Piano lessons from age 9 -12 followed along with
participation in junior and senior high school choirs and madrigal
goups. A classical voice major in college, Jes
studied jazz post college and picked up the guitar
and began writing original tunes in 1991. After
taking a break from music in the mid-90's, Jes
began playing and singing again in the late 90's,
frequenting the open mic scene around Boston.
Soon thereafter, Jes put her first band together
and started scoring gigs, eventually recording
her first solo cd. Clearing My Head is a 13 song
cd featuring a variety of original tunes that
showcase Jes' unique writing style and
versatile vocals. The cd will be officially
released in Fall of 2002 and Jes will once
again be rocking the scene in Boston. |
