Artist History
In February of 1998 Brian Barry, the singer of Colin Clive, was murdered. Along with lawyer Charles Love, Brian worked at a law office on Spruce Street in downtown Philadelphia at the time.
Herbert Blakeney, Kenneth Miller, Marcus Lloyd, and Gregory Miller were all involved in the murder. Apparently Gregory Miller was represented by Love and was unhappy with the way the case turned out. He got his nephew Kenneth Miller and his friends to rob and murder Love at his office which they did. Brian was tied up with his hands behind his back and was laid face down on the floor with a box of files on his back. One of them tried unsuccessfully to cash a $10,000 check they forced Love to write out. When the person returned, Blakeney shot both Charles Love and Brian Barry in the head. Blakeney was eventually caught and he ratted everyone out. He got life in prison. Kenneth Miller and Marcus Lloyd both got the death penalty, and Gregory Miller faced about 20 years for conspiracy to commit murder.
