Artist History
Based in Newcastle upon Tyne, England, Bronze is the brainchild of singer/songwriter Paul Handyside and drummer Ade Evans. Handyside had previous releases on Arista and Kitchenware Records with eighties indie guitar band Hurrah! He also recorded and played guitar with Martin Stephenson.
After demoing over thirty songs the search was on for kindred spirits to add flesh to the bare bones of the songs. In January 2001, after kissing several frogs, Paul and Ade found bassist Rob Tickell who had become available following the split of his band STAN.
To complete the line-up, the trio recruited fellow 12 string Rickenbacker afficionado Pete Bell in May 2002. |
