Artist History
Started in 1997 with guitarist, Chris Juliano and then bassist, Jim Norton. After going through numerous auditions with musicians that didn't live up to Atraphine's expectations they continued the search for 4 years. They knew with their powerful songs they would make a name for themselves upon finding the right musicians. Things started to come together in 2002 when vocalist, Gina Greco and drummer, Jay Reynolds joined the band. Jim made the switch from bass to keyboards. In August 2002 Atraphine made their live performance debut at The Chance in Poughkeepsie,NY. and soon began playing clubs from Albany to NYC including Lamour in Brooklyn. In Jan 2003 the band was complete when permanent bassist, Randy McKinley joined the band. Atraphine won best hard rock/metal band in the Hudson Valley in Rhythm and News 2002 reader's poll. They have also signed with Atlantic Pacific Entertainment out of Texas. With the lineup in place and many shows being lined in 2003, Atraphine will be making it's mark on the Eastern US music scene. |
