Artist description
With their interpretation of polished indie-rock, they have created a vein of music that not many others can relate (with the exception of The Strokes and the older classic rock bands like The Clash and Ramones). The familiar, yet innovative guitar parts that Winn brought into the band, combined with the melody and hooks that Trent created with the lyrics illustrate that rock is all about being young and having fun - it's just Rock-n-Roll with a smile - |

Press Reviews
The debut release from Oxford, Mississippi’s Always Sunday is a fun romp
through six well-crafted indie-rock songs. Trent Dabbs’ vocals lend a
Jeff Buckley, Jeremy Enigk-tinged melodic sense that is supplemented by
Dean Clement's melodic, pulsating bass (a la The Strokes). Guitarist
Winn McElroy and drummer Andrew Ratcliffe add their Pavement-influenced
sounds to produce a sound that falls somewhere between Promise Ring and
Weezer at its most melodic. Dabb’s lyrics are solid throughout and
strike a nice balance between playfulness, romanticism, and seriousness.
Powerwalking takes me back to that sense of youthful discovery where you
find yourself listening repeatedly, knowing that you’re in on the
beginning of something good.—Tim Porter
