    Artist History
Tony has been playing music since the age of 7. He has performed in jazz bands, bluegrass bands, and rock bands over the years, but has consistently played the guitar and pursued his craft of synthesis since the early seventies. He is currently producing and performing with the electronic group, Spacecraft. His newest ambient/electronic/guitar album, Altamira is a followup to his Lektronic Soundscapes release of "Blue Western Sky" in 1994. The mp3.com CD, Guitarscapes is a collection of songs recorded in the studio and live that highlights his main instrument, the guitar..... "It has been a rewarding experience to offer my music to all of you. Taking the various styles of music I have created over the years and making it available to you as downloads and on CDs has been a great source of inspiration for me and many of my musical friends. Mp3.com has acted as a catalyst to continue recording and putting out music at a more focused pace. I started playing guitar in 1968 and followed that up with an introduction to electronic music through the theremin and "Switched on Bach" by Wendy Carlos in 1971. In 1974, I received my first synthesizer as a kit for my birthday. Soon after building it, I started sound-on-sound electronic music recordings. The many projects I have been involved with since that time include rock, jazz, orchestral, electronic, ambient, bluegrass, world, vocal, soundtrack, folk, blues, mountain, industrial, dance, noise, experimental and the unclassifiable. It is all just great music to me that has reflected the different moods and times in my life. Music is very much a necessary "therapy" for me as a human being. I hope you find solace and inspiration in my musical offerings.
