Artist History
Originally from Washington DC, Swivel started out as an jam band, playing informally at small social gatherings
and the occasional party. Almost immediately, a small fan base developed, a band name was demanded,
and people wanted to hear more, more, more. They downsized to three members to get a tight rhythm core and
began to playout in New York City and Washington DC. That was three years ago. Now on the verge of recording their first LP,
Swivel has learned to communicate with audiences through the raw energy of youth. |

Press Reviews
"I checked out Swivel on their MP3.com page and found that they had only 1 song, titled 'Pornado'. I continued to check out their page while listening to Pornado and I can tell
you one thing. If all of their other music is this good, we may have another high energy
arena band on our hands within the next three or four years.
I could easily identify such influences as Live (vocals), Nirvana Unplugged, Led Zeppelin,
and a big time Red Hot Chili Peppers, in other words, everything which makes up big top 40
bands. I would buy an album, but they didn't have any for sale. I really enjoyed their
post-grunge pre-funk/pop arena band sound. Check them out, they're very good songwriters.
4 Stars"
