Artist History
The original version of Planet X began with guitarist Darryl (D.Z.) Zuber in 1993. Some time in 1997, bassist Ron Meyer of Quincy, CA. joined forces with Darryl, bringing in a hard-driving but melodic style of playing as well as a capable vocal talent that worked brilliantly with Zuber's searing metal guitar work. After a grueling eleven-month period, F. Vyan Walton , a recently transplanted L.A. native and former member of the L.A. band Soul Machine, answered the call for a vocalist. Newest member Henry "Mitch" Mitchell of Citrus Heights, CA, an extremely capable and talented skin basher, who had previously been a member of the band Jack (now better known as Oleander), joined up in early '99. And thus, Planet X was fully formed. |

If you dig hard grooves, driving guitar and soulful vocals Planet-X is ready for you. Are you ready for Planet-X." Review from KICKERS MAGAZINE - "All in all, this is one indie band that must be picked up by fans of hard power driven guitar rock and roll. Planet X has managed to recapture the clarity of past rock and roll, but blends it with a great heavy 90s edge. If you pick this one up, I guarantee you won’t be disappointed" Review of -PAY YOUR DUES - from KNAC.COM " This bone-crunching riff-o-rama- metal opus clobbers you over the head with it's sheer power. Taken from their self-titled debut album, "Pay The Dues" proves that Planet X are not to be f**ked with!" |
