Artist description
In the fall of 1998, a group of musicians joined together to jam on a stage, none of them knowing what was destined to unfold. A name was created - FEEL LOVE FURY - and a common goal was decided - to spread their music to the masses. Since then, the band has released and sold out their critically acclaimed cd, "SOURCE," won numerous awards, appeared on national television, received international radio play and media coverage, and toured all over the southeast, playing hundreds of shows.
In the fall of 2001, FEEL LOVE FURY replaced their drummer and added an additional rhythm guitarist. Immediately following, they were hired to appear on the hit television series, "Dawson's Creek." Their appearance on four episodes of season five created an increased buzz from industry professionals, media sources, and fans as far away as Ireland and France.
FEEL LOVE FURY took some time off from the road and headed to the studio, working on songs and their sound, and recording demos for their next project. One of these recordings made its way into the hands of producer and engineer, Jeff Tomei (Smashing Pumpkins, Matchbox 20, Jerry Cantrell) and within months, he was behind the faders as producer and engineer of the band's next release.
Says Tomei of the band, "Feel Love Fury's songwriting does not follow the trends. Their music cannot simply be put into a convenient category, although they wear their influences proudly. From funk to pop to acoustic to hard rock, it's all there. They have the power of a solid rock rhythm section with two guitars building a wall of sound around, at times, an almost Bowie-esque vocal. This band requires many listens to fully appreciate their talents and will continue to be heard, as they will only get better."
Recorded at Audio Genesis Studios in Wilmington, North Carolina in December of 2002, the forthcoming EP was Mastered by Rodney Mills (Pearl Jam, Rage Against the Machine, Stone Temple Pilots), and is scheduled for release in the spring of 2003 on SoulProphet Records. |
