Artist History Leading this band on vocals is Michael Garcia who has been a pivotal member of the local music scene for over 12 years. As a front man for the successful modern rock bands, “The End” and “Severance”, Michael has won enthusiastic audience support throughout California for his commanding voice, insightful lyrics and enigmatic stage presence. Currently as co-founder of ELECTRIC JESUS, this talented singer has fully evolved into a polished and professional performer with a profoundly unique style. His multi-faceted talents fit well into this band.As co-founder of ELECTRIC JESUS, guitarist Richard Williamson continues his long-standing collaboration with the enigmatic Garcia. Their first crusade together began in the high-profile band, “The End”. In the late eighties, their success was exemplified by several well-received shows and regular airplay on Americas Number One alternative radio station, LIVE 105.3FM. Subsequently, Richard joined the band “Still” and earned opening spots supporting such notables as “Dramarama” and “Green Day”. Now, reuniting with Garcia, in the role of lead guitarist for ELECTRIC JESUS, Richard’s swirling guitar lines and intricate composition help make ELECTRIC JESUS’ sound truly unique.On bass guitar, Erik Matson rounds out the impressive front line of ELECTRIC JESUS. Garcia, Williamson and Matson have been fortunate to have an enduring, successful working relationship in various Bay Area projects. This enduring relationship is a major contributor to the success of ELECTRIC JESUS. Equally important are Erik’s strident bass lines and infectious enthusiasm. His artistry has been showcased in his performances with “The Wynonna Riders” (currently on Lookout Records) and he recently completed a nationwide tour with New Red Archive’s punk outfit “Jack Killed Jill”. Erik’s diversity and impressive talents allow him to play a vital role in the success of ELECTRIC JESUS.
