Artist History
We all hail from Burlington Ontario. We were all in
various bands from the area so eventually when all
our other projects dissolved we got together. Mike
and Ty were in a band called TRUNK (www.mp3.com/trunk)
which was really the first new school punk band out of
Burlington.They started in 1993 and ended around 1999. After that
Fonz joined my other band CUTOFF (www.mp3.com/cutoff)
which was formed in 1996.While Fonz and I were doing CUTOFF,
Ty had moved away and joined X-CUTOFF bassist and
now SOMEHOW HOLLOW(who is infact the last Grade line up minus Kyle)
bassist Paul "Frogger" Boisvert and had a project
called REMEBER APRIL. Eventually Ty moved home and
on the way to an IN FLAMES show we talked about how
fun it would be if the three of us started
somthing. The whole ride we tried to think of
a name we all like and I blurted out The Video Dead
(named after this really cheesy horror movie Mike has
in his massive collection with a similar name). We all
aggreed then hunted down our buddy Matt who had been
in the Burlington scene for awhile and was looking for somthing
heavy. We all got together,jammed and everything clicked.
And thats pretty much it. |
