    Artist History
I was born in Seattle and have lived here my entire life. I started my music career when I was 8. That was my first time taking guitar lessons. The guitar was too big for my puny body, so I quit. When I entered Junior High School, I started to take music more seriously. I worked all summer in seventh grade, summer of 1980, to buy my first guitar, a Sunburst Les-Paul copy from Sears. It cost me $200 and I was pissed it didn't have a case. That was a lot of money for back then. But the guitar itself, it was good. I would practice four to five hours a night by myself, learning to play on my own by listening to music and using my natural ability to pick up the chords from the songs. In 1983, I started writing music as a sophomore in high school. I wrote hard rock/heavy metal. Had the hair to make it happen... I was in my first band, Filth. We did a lot of covers: Sex Pistols, Judeas Preist, Iron Maiden. We played parties and small openings for other bands. While I was in high school , I played with other people on the side, like Mike Star (Alice in Chains) and Andrew L??? (The Purdens, Electric Eel Studios). In Highschool, we recorded our first single at RightTrack Studios in Burien. The name of the songs were "Diamonds and Rust" by Judas Preist and "Wasted" by Def Leopard. I left High School and pursued music and sound engineering, working odd jobs to make ends meet. I started another band, Talon, in 1987. I worte music and played lead guitar. There were 5 of us. We would practice at a warehouse in Kent. We recorded a full CD of all original music. We were written up in Cream Magazine and local newspapers around Seattle. Three years later, I took formal guitar lessons and studied audio engineering and recording. I was having trouble reading music. I was managing 3 or 4 different bands around Seattle. I would book their shows, work out their "issues", negotiated money for their shows, help with promotion, and helped with their artwork and graphics. I met a lot of people in the business while I did this. Two of the bands I managed: Barely Alive and The Rhino Humpers. I stopped doing that and started my third band, Huney Bucket, because I wanted to play and write music again. In the band there were 5 guys: myself, Scott Doscher (Plush), Tony Gedleman (Randy Hansen Band), Tony Schmidt (Villian), and Scott Wooten. We started out as Metal Elvis doing Elvis cover tunes. Right away, we knew that there was chemistry to write music and perform together, so we started doing more original stuff. We recorded a CD of our original music in 1995. I engineered the CD. We produced it together. I did all the artwork and graphics for the band, fliers, logos, booking, management and promotion. We started off playing small shows and opening for other bands, such as The Rhino Humpers, Fuel, Randy Hansen Band, Red Grass, and Juniper Hill. Clubs we played included: Offramp, Rock Candy, Captain Cook's, New World, Jimmy Z's, Ballard Fire House, Planet HotRod and Rebar. I quit the band in 1997 to go back to college. I studied computer graphics. In 1999, I went back to play again and joined Switchblade Romeo. This band included members of Sea of Black, War Babies and Mudd Bucket. We would practice at Hush Studios in Seattle. This didn't last very long, however, due to some medical problems I left the band. I continued to write music from home. I have lots of songs ready to go. Everything from acoustic to electric and some techno. Today, I'm looking for a band that fits my personality and taste in music. Thank's Robert Fox
