    Artist description
In this age of computerized soul and empty sentiment, Release has cut to the core of classic song writing while making technology their companion rather than their master. Whether with soaring harmonies or unforgettable melodies, Release infuses their infectious brand of moody pop-rock with emotion and intellect far surpassing their years. With their multiple singers, interesting perspectives and musical skill, one cannot help but be reminded of songwriting legends like The Eagles or The Beatles. What truly sets them apart however, is their ultra modern sound and their ability to seamlessly blend it with guitar driven power. Impassioned lyrics reveal their burning intensity. From their hooks to their harmonies and back, Release is a highly polished musical machine gun. Their consummate professionalism and blind love for the music they create enables them to flawlessly replicate their songs, without losing the emotion on which they were founded. The expressive moods and melodies of their music stand alone, proving one of the oldest axioms in the industry…less is more. Strip away the impressive veneer of (self) production, to the very acoustic essence of the songs, this is where Release stands head and shoulders above their contemporaries. Building monumental structures on simple foundations that speak to the heart. This is Release.

    Artist History
Within months of forming the band, internet buzz propelled Release to the top of the nation-wide unsigned alternative chart on Farmclub.com for upwards of six straight weeks, as well as being chosen as one of the Farmclub staff’s favorites for over a month. This early success was a springboard for much greater achievement. Release has recently secured a management contract, released their first full-length CD, performed live on Chicago's famous WGN-TV and are currently negotiating an impending music publishing deal.

    Press Reviews
“The hooks really jumped up and knocked me out!” -Richard Milne WXRT Radio Chicago “…prepare yourself for some nice harmonies! …good arrangements with nice hooks and good variation with both acoustic and electric guitars. Out of the 12 tracks on the album every one has something to offer.” -Midwestern Skies Music Magazine “They have their own particular stamp, characterized by the great production & the fact that their music sounds very tight & well rehearsed. "The Fall" (is) a real step above both performance & songwriting passion.” -hEARd Music Magazine “As heavily laden with pop hooks as a gas station flystrip is with flies in August…Release presents you with slickly-produced, wildfire catchy, easily hummable pop. Given their playing talents, their hopes of filling a stadium could easily bear fruit by the bushel. -Jenn Sikes Splendid Music E-Zine “Modern Rock doesn’t get any better than this!” -Peace Work Music ”Release is Pop/Rock with the emotional aspect of emo and lyrics that touch reality. Instead of crooning about my life, Release croons about real life. Release s music is definitely rock but there s enough pop for people that listen to Spears and enough substance for someone who listens to Lifehouse. In certain songs I detect a country-ish twang. In my opinion this twang could be helpful to Release when they hit it big (Which I am sure they will), because not only will the rock music lover buy a Release CD but the country music listener also. I have really enjoyed this CD. Release has something that many bands don t have; the guts to say what they want in a song, not what people want to hear. This as a compliment, because I think Release connects with their fans and listeners on an emotional level. That is where the emotional aspect of emo comes in. “ -Adam Ferguson SongReviewCentral.com magazine I think Release is the sort of proof that pop will never die as the debutalbum from these Americans is a sort of glorification of the indiepop that made bands like Fountains Of Wayne immortal. The vocals from singer Jaysun McBain might be very American (at times much like John Cougar Mellencamp) there is at the same time a sort of British undertone, you know the sort of things like Teenage Fan Club or The Bluetones were famous for. The press-release says Release is out to prove that pop-rock music doesn’t need to be bratty to be cool and that’s true as it is all clear that they believe more in popharmonies then stardom and that graces them as Release has made such a honest record that it can make you cry…not that it is a collection of tearjerkers but the pop-factor is so high here that you’d wish more bands would make records like this. Extra points go to the use of the keyboards that might be at the background but they definitely give the music more flavour…something for the rock-popkids among you! -Didier Becu The Original Sin Music E-Magazine “With songs about relationships (ones that work and ones that don’t), straightforward and intelligent lyrics, and no hidden agenda, I expect to hear Release played on nearly every radio station across the country. …great lyrics wrapped in beautiful harmonies. This one’s a keeper.” -Crystal @ ScoreRocks.com music magazine “Very poppy rock here with a prevalent blues overtone. As radio friendly as I’ve heard in a while. . If I were to pick one that just stands out to me, I really like "She’s The One" a real lot. It has everything a modern rock song should. "The Fall" is another good one. In fact this whole CD seems to be crafted from the book of modern rock.” -Bobby Torres @ Realtime Records
