Artist description
It’s hard to compare Regression to any other band out there. Although the songs hint at many different influences, Regression has come up with a sound that is a far cry from most other bands. Lyrically, the band talks about friendship, betrayal, self-reflection, and issues of life and death.
Inspired by many genres of music such as Blues, Punk, Metal, Classic Rock, and of course Hardcore, Regression has been influenced by such bands as Sick Of It All, Madball, Hatebreed, Bouncing Souls, God Forbid, Indecision, Bad Religion, Pantera, Deftones, Unbroken, and Slayer, just to name a few.

Artist History
Drummer Lee Weinberg and guitarist Jeff Renert and his brother, bassist Michael Renert formed what was to become Regression in the fall of 2001. Feeling that something was missing, long time friend Daniel Batista gladly stepped in to add the dynamic guitar sound the trio was looking for. The biggest challenge for the Long Island, NY band, was finding a singer whose style matched the bands musical taste and antics. Hilary Neloms was added to the roster after several singers were auditioned and many months passed. Finally Regression was formed, and has since been working vigorously to improve a hardcore metal musical style that is unique |
