Artist description Shawn Turner was a founding member of the Springfield, Missouri band Johnny Q. Public. A rock band of teenagers that had a critical hit with the breakthrough video "Body Be" that made it to MTV and catapulted them into the mainstream spotlight - not to mention a record deal with Roadrunner Records. Later they were joined by Stretch, a bassist from Wheatcroft, Kentucky. After the breakup of Johnny Q. Public, Shawn and Stretch went on to form the band God Money Sex with drummer Josh Moore (of The Katies / Elektra) and guitarist Kevin Holland. The sound of God Money Sex is compared to Stone Temple Pilots, Soundgarden and Queen. Blending modern rock, classic rock riffs and powerful melody.
