Artist description
It is very rare in modern music that an act emerges who can produce, perform and stand alone in a crowd of current artists and producers. It is also rare that in such a small space of time, that act can become known and respected by music lovers and business people alike. In the last two years,
Elements of Life have achieved exactly that.
The two DJs, Wenda G and David Nixon already work alongside top DJs and producers including Patrick Forge and Snowboy gaining recognition in some of the UK’s most high quality bars and lounges and DJing for celebrity clients that include David and Victoria Beckham, Jordan and Ronan Keating.
Wenda G is unique in her experience. Outside of music, she is a catwalk model who has been voted model of the year in the UK.
She has also been the face of Wella hair care products internationally and appeared in the highly respected Vogue magazine. Her performance on the catwalk
is as sensual as her musical one and both take their beauty from her ability to work with music. On the catwalk and in the club, her skilled dancing and choreography compliment perfectly
her own wide range of musical flavour.
Musically, Wenda is equally unique, already well known by some for her popular “Fantasy”
compilations released online through the Elements of Life Website. The chill-out compilation
which is now on its second volume has been played over 30,000 times by users in 18 different countries
and has also featured at Anthems.com, DJCentral.com, and Bangingtunes.com websites scoring top votes and reviews.
Wenda’s single “Come, Swim with Me.” Builds on this popularity with a classical influenced track that combines a
sexy and minimal house feel to create a record that is quality house music with a sophisticated edge.
The other 4 track demo EP of material written and produced solely by Elements of Life is more downbeat
material although it does feature samples, they are all under 7 seconds in length except the vocal sample in track 1.
All of the instruments on the tracks were performed and programmed by David Nixon who forms the other half of Elements of Life.
The project was conceived and produced as a joint effort by the pair and is their first original production.
David’s background in DJing and production includes presenting national radio for the BBC and being part of the street
team for Warner Bros’ urban music label, East West Records. Together, the skills of both Wenda and Dave have created
the style and performance of Elements of Life and we hope you find it refreshing and different.
