Artist description
Neuron-nest is a project which is perpetually
changing, experimenting with a multitude of sounds
to create original music. I realise many artists
say this and they're either decieving themselves
or are just straight lying, but if you listen I don't
think you'll easily be able to liken this music to
much else.
Personally my musical tastes have changed considerably
over the years. My first major musical interest was
metal, for example early Korn, Tool (a band I will
always love) and Human Waste Project. Steadily, and thus
without my real awareness of it, my interests were
becoming more obscure. At first the likes of
Queen Adreena. Then came a revolution, COIL, an
amazing group of musicians who combine organic and
electronic sounds to create beautiful music. Of course
this led on to other things ranging from Wumpscut to
Mouse on Mars to Faultline. In addition to these
rare sparks of genious I have always had a sentimental
like of Jazz and classical music (and I don't mean
traditional classical music, contemporary stuff is
more to my liking. eg Esquivel).
Now, I'm constantly on the lookout for music which I
have previously been completely ignorant of.
Neuron-nest, as my musical development may suggest,
is really an attempt by myself to create music which
takes the elements of the multitude of genres named
above which I find most curious, and cultivating an
organism which can grow, explore and convey.

Artist History
Neuron-nest began in the Summer of 2001 using
a piece of freeware to string together a set of sounds
and film samples resulting in a musically accompanied narrative.
The manifestation of which was a demo of 5 tracks
of which are not available on this site, however,
if you would like a copy of this cd for the price
of the p&p then email spidr237@aol.com.
2002 marked the beginning of a new sound (this
was largely unintentional and actually a by-product
of new software). The film samples vanished and new
ideas were employed. This is what is available directly
from this site. |

I was pleasantly surprised by this! In somewhat less than 6 minutes 'soundscreaming' goes through several quite distinct 'moods', changes in rhythm and colour, all unified by a firm thematic thread, which ensures its sounding 'natural', and non-contrived. I like it. Nice job! -- HarS
