Artist History
After four years studying drums at USC with Frank Sinatra's Gregg Field, Glen
Schricker stepped into the Los Angeles music scene. Following a run of
drumming for such LA bands as Loomer, Beast, and Downer, Schricker and long time friend Dave Wagg decided to put a band together that would satisfy their hunger for intelligent songwriting with a bit of an edge. Having history together that dates back to the age of 5, Schricker & Wagg set out to capitalize on chemistry most bands dream about. Four years and s even singers later, Schricker & Wagg found singer John Bonneau.
Bonneau had been crafting a similar and parallel LA story, finally opting to do it all himself as a solo artist. With the help of producer/multi-instrumentalist Tim David Kelly (Kicking Ha r old), Bonneau released his solo effort under the name Vylan. Still not exactly what he was after, he found himself placing the Music Connection ad that would give life to debris.
Bonneau, Schricker, and Wagg immediately went into the studio in April o f 2 002 to begin work on Gratuitous Consumption. Between the three of them, all vocals and instrumentation were easily covered. This allowed the guys to retain full control of their sound. The end result yields the precise vision and sound they had been a f ter for years. With the record done, debris was forced to find additional members in order to perform live. Enter Keno (guitar, back-up vocals) and Tony Bonadio (bass, back-up vocals). Keno and Bonadio both had a history of playing with Schricker in v ar io us LA bands. Bonadio and Schricker shared the stage in Jeff Pilson's Underground Moon. Keno and Schricker had been working together on Keno's solo material. All around the chemistry was top notch, making Keno and Bonadio the obvious choices to comp lete debris.
