    Artist History
TOXIC VIRGIN Toxic Virgin stand for pure rock music, boundless energy, catchy refrains and acclaimed live gigs. In short: hard'n heavy music which is a lot of fun and covers the whole range of heavy rock. Toxic Virgin have been together since 1995 and published three CDs (Love Rocket EP 1999 , Toxic Virgin CD 2000 , Circle of Power CD 2001 ) which received excellent reviews in musical publications and were highly acclaimed abroad . The live concerts of the five musicians from Krefeld, Germany, ( f.e. together with DORO PESCH and BONFIRE ) attract and convince audiences nationwide. Such qualities as a live-band also granted them their twice repeated participation in the finals of the German Rock Musicians Awards.Toxic Virgin embody a lifestyle and not a short-lived fashion. In other words: Rock'n roll is coming home!

METALLIAN-MAGAZINE 07 /2002 ( CANADA ) TOXIC VIRGIN - CIRCLE OF POWER Metallian-Magazine Canada ( 07 2002 ) Circle Of Power is the third demo CD of these German hard rockers from Krefeld and is a full-length chock full of punchy melodies, up-tempo rockers, powerful backing vocals and originality. The disc kicks off with the album's better songs Broken Wings and Son Of The Sun. The former Starts with a cute little melody developing into a big rock riff. Boy, these boys can play! The vocalist might be an acquired taste, but big sound and up beat hard rock join forces to kick up some dust through thirteen tracks. Toxic Virgin often bleeds into AOR and heavy metal territory! Until The End begins and ends like an old Neil Young song and is a slow and poppy song. Sailor is another sing-along fun romp. The silly matter of keyboard used in the background and a couple of the slower songs aside, Toxic Virgin is a great hard rock listen.Visit www.toxicvirgin.de or write to Carlo Bertini. Westwall 181, 47798 Krefeld. Strutter Magazine Netherlands ( 02 2002) 'Circle of power' is the third CD of the German band TOXIC VIRGIN, a band out of Krefeld that played alongside well-known acts like BONFIRE and DORO. Their latest CD is filled with very impressive high quality typical German melodic hardrock in the style of AXXIS, VICTORY, PINK CREAM'69 and BONFIRE. The sound and production is from a very high level. The CD starts with the midtempo melodic hardrock song "Broken wings" that reminds me a lot of AXXIS. Up next is the uptempo melodic HR song "Son of the sun" that brings right into PC'69 territory. One of my favourite tracks is the excellent AOR/Melodic Rocker "Restless hearts", which reminds me of CASANOVA, MARATHON, BONFIRE, DEMON DRIVE... The following two songs ("Waiting for the rain" and "Rock tonight") are just nice (and a bit plain) hardrock tunes a la STEELER. Then comes the best part of the CD, with 3 very good songs. First up is the lovely midtempo AOR ballad "Until the end" that sounds like a cross between GOTTHARD, ZENO and FAIR WARNING. The faster uptempo melodic heavy rocker "Alien lovesong" follows and is an early 80s type of song that sounds like the perfect mixture between SCORPIONS, MAD MAX and CACUMEN. It's a very melodic song, yet quite fast and very catchy, with a clear 80s approach. "Our only hope" is another highlight on the CD, as this is a very good midtempo AOR/Melodic Rocker and takes up to over 6 minutes of playing length. The rest of the CD is less interesting. Songs like "Fireball", "Don't know what I want" and "Walk on water" are average simple HR songs a la AC/DC and KROKUS, and they really have nothing to offer. Closing track "All for one" has that typical German sing-a-long feeling, but remains to be a great melodic rocksong. Still, about 3 or 4 songs keep the score lower than it could have been. Nevertheless, this CD is highly recommended to anyone into typical German melodic hardrock. More info at: http://www.toxicvirgin.de and e-mail them at: toxicvirgin@freenet.de
