Artist History The band formed officially in December of 2001, the day that George Harrison died. Kris Alchohelbeck (guitar) J Carter (bass) and Russell (drums)had been plaing together for 6 months, getting a feel for each others playing and experimenting and writing songs. In November, realizing the potential that they had to start a new project, they released an instrumental demo to a local talent network to search for a vocalist for the project. It was here that people associated with Gordon Souley, a vocalist in the region, came across the project and brought it to his attention. Souley spent a 10 year stint with underground legends Rob Peter to Pay Paul and had been out of Rock and Roll for 4 years. During this time Souley made an attempt in the protestant clergy, but his ideas and behavior were rejected, and he was asked to step down from his church position. It is expected that Souley, who plays 10 different instruments, played in numerous other projects in his career, but has never been confirmed. Souley heard the demo and added lyrics to 5 songs before his tryout, and when he attended the first rehersal, it was instant genius. Souley lyrics, although sometime sarcastic or cynical, aim at social and political issues that plague the nation today. Kris Alchoholenbeck, the youngest member of the band, began playing in bands as early as 14 years old, but is best remembered in a stint with Planet Hofmann. His rifts come from all sorts of influences. He has graduated from bass to guitar in this project, and it seems that Alcho has found his true passion. J carter, who is best known as a drummer, has also changed instruments in this project and has taken on some vocals and bass guitar. Russell is enjoying his first joint venture with a band on drums, who previously was a solo artist that is fluent on drums bass and guitar and spent his time tracking in his home studio, as well as doing some session work on some projects.

Press Reviews From Freakshow- Art and Music Zine (Jan 2003) A quick word about Third Leg, Wow, another few words,Fucking Great. Third leg has a nice interesting sound, rather different, a bit old school hardcore, a bit melodic with some really nice guitar work, vocals, hell even the drums kick my ass. These guys are good. I smack myself in the forehead as I write - how the hell did I miss hearing about them for so long?! Well now I know, I am suitably impressed. What else can I say, but catch this band's show.
