Artist History The idea for Misaligned was conceptualized in the summer of 2001 by Ethan Kurtz (bass) and James Lacey (vocals). It wasn't until the late fall of the same year, that Ethan contacted Scott Weber and Ben Acevedo about playing guitar for his new band. It was at this same time the the name Misaligned was chosen after a suggestion by Ethan. Later on, Ben made the switch to vocals as Lead Guitarist Brian Kurtz and Drummer Mark Primiano joined the band.
