Artist History Rita Angelica is a singer and songwriter whose songs have been written based on experience from relationships, fantasies, and freedom of speech. She has started this since the age of thirteen. She has completed her fourth demo song recently called “Madre Mia”. The first being Donde Estas (Where are you), Que Te Pasa (What’s wrong with you), and Amor a Primera Vista (Love at First Sight). Rita Angelica was born in an Argentine family where government and entertainment were involved; Her father Carlos Marandino not only works for the Embassy of Argentina (office located in Washington, D.C), but also has been a performer for the Argentine folk dances for over 10 years. Rita Angelica grew up around her father’s entertainment gigs. This had Rita decide that she wanted to be like her father, which enabled her to become involved in the argentine folk dances with her father, for a short time. Rita Angelica was also involved with ballet classes, Jazz dance classes that helped her to gain experience on being on stage, starting at the age of five. By the age of seven, Prince became her role model, until Michael Jackson came along a year a later in to her life lasting till she turned ten years old. Madonna became her permanent role model till the age of 17. Madonna’s sexuality helped Rita in a big part in transforming her to what she is today physically and mentally. By the time she turned seventeen she has written over 20 songs, performed on stage locally in beauty pageants, talent shows, and festivals. Her old fad stage name back in the day was “BABYQUEEN.” She has also gone to modeling school, and dance classes, and a year of acting classes in high school. After the age of 18 she continued writing songs leaving her with over 45 songs to play with.
