Artist History
New Age Gothic Synth Pop project Days of Triumph emerged from several former musical ventures in 1994. Before that time there was occasional cooperation of the initial members Jan Braehler and Markus Hofmann, who produced an Album as »Death for our generation«, looking back an extremely embarrassing piece of work, conducted on a Tascam-4-Tracker lent from school. 1994 brought the hour of birth for »Days of Triumph«, with Daniel Stange joining the duo. On the long run, DoT, which was originally concepted as the 'greasy pop project' among various others, turned out to be the most persistent one, the one, which the band has put their focus on since. The most recent change in line-up was in 2001, when André Kasprzak joined DoT for some vocals, guitars and lyrical work.
Time, instruments and advancing recording possibilities together with productional experience changed the character of the musical output. Which had begun as pure midi-keyboard-instrumentation evolved over the use of samples and more sophisticated FX to an increasing amount of acoustical sound-sources and a different kind of darkness. Whereas many things changed, one thing remains the same. The work on a piece of music never ends... |
