Artist History Balladyre's unique blend of music was the incredible sound of Blue/Jazz great Freddie Roulette's lap steele guitar against accoustic-electric country blues/rock, backed up with a straight Rock/Jazz percussion, making Balladyre's music unique, provacative, and fun to dance too! With some help from our friends (mainly Michael Borbridge), Balladyre had been honored with such Special Guest Stars joining in on our LIVE gigs like Pete Sears, Harvey Mandel, Charlie Musselwhite, Roy Rogers, Steve Gannon, Country Pete McGill, Carlos Zialcita, Tommy D. and Will Scarlett, whom the band thanks for all of their love and support! In 2002, the band officially came to an end, although the music has not stopped. Many of the band members have gone on to other projects (look here for future updates) keeping the music alive, as well as retaining many of the original tunes created over the years.

Press Reviews ALBANY (June 2001) -- The city was alive Friday night as local blues champs Balladyre put on quite a party at Cafe Muse to a standing room only audience. The El Cerrito-based, self-dubbed country/funk five-piece outfit tore the roof off the joint at 856 San Pablo with smooth soulful blues, a hot steel string slide guitar and plenty of guest additions worthy to fill San Francisco's Fillmore theater.
