Artist History
In 2002, Johnny Clay and Will Hensley of the Texas rock band After Five recruited vocalist/percusionist Shawn Tuthill and vocalist Miguel McDonald, forming After Five Acoustic. The group was together for 6 short months, but in that time left a lasting impression on the south Texas music scene. The group performs original and cover music, blending their 3 and 4 part harmonies with and acoustic rock edge, resulting in magic. Lead singer/songwriter Johnny Clay and Shawn Tuthill moved to Portland, Oregon in late 2002 and formed the band "The Dimes". Find out more at www.thedimes.com. Don't be suprised if you see After Five Acoustic back on stage sometime soon, perhaps under a different name. The four reunited for 3 shows in October of 2003, and plans are in place to record a second album and perhaps a small tour to support that album. |
